Kiss of Fate: The Meeting of Marzhin and Lynn

The League of Utah Writers Chapters: Nebo Novelists and Utah Valley Legends sponsored a Valentines Day writing contest with a choice of three prompts:

                1. Secret Admirer

                2. First (or last) Kiss

                3. Chocolate and Chernobyl

Last year I had the oportunity to visit the legendary Tintagel Castle on the Cornwal Coast in the United Kingdome. I grabbed my imagination and a poem and then this story was born.  Legends say that King Arthur was conceived in this castle and that Merlins cave is the final resting place for the mythical wizard. So I played with the Cornwall names for Merlin and the Lady of the Lake and came up with Marzhin and Lynn for this story that matched the "First/Last Kiss" prompt for this contest.

Almost a month later, I learned that I had won 1st place!  I hope you will enjoy my little story.
